The illustration shows a very simple device for supporting a person on a cycle in an erect position whilst being photographed. The block is painted to match the foreground, and is light on one side and dark on the other. The cyclist places one treadle on the top of the block, and mounts the machine, keeping his foot on the lower treadle on the block, which is behind the machine.
