To make a Portland cement wash of a light stone colour, first spread the cement dry on the floor for five or six hour . then well mix with water in a large tub. The consistency must be .judged by the condition of the wall to which the wash is to he applied. To every 5 gal. add lqt. of soluble glass; keep well stirred when using. This will make a gres stone colour, but not thai known in London as stone colour.
