This ordinarily resolves itself into a determination of the alcoholic strength, and the estimation of the methyl alcohol, acetone, and mineral naphtha, with an examination as to whether any appreciable amount of residue is left on evaporation. Occasionally the proportion of esters may be required. A determination of the remaining constituents is rarely wanted except for special purposes.
