Before her marriage to Lord Waldegrave, in B 1874, this popular society lady was Lady Dorothea Palmer. She is a sister of the present Lord Selborne, and, although she has been married for many years, is still a young-looking woman. Like all her family, Lady Waldegrave is well-read, a good conversationalist, and a clever and active personality. She does not move much in society, though she has given entertaining dinners at her house in Bryanston Square, for she much prefers the quietness and beauty of Chewton Priory, near Bath, to the turmoil and arduous duties of town life.
