Mr. Rhind is not unknown to our readers as a contributor of some excellent papers on garden topics. He is one of those accomplished gardeners who do credit to the profession, and whose abilities and superior character for probity and honor fit them for positions of great responsibility and trust. It is one of the misfortunes of our country that when this class of talent is open for engagements there are no first-class situations open to receive them, and when they are it is not always easy to find the man.
