An evergreen heath-like shrub of a stiff, erect habit of growth and bearing a profusion of small funnel-shaped flowers. It should be pruned back within a few inches of the previous year's growth as soon as the flowering season is over, this treatment insuring for the plant a much better shape than if it were allowed to take its natural habit of growth.
Propagate by cuttings of half-ripe wood placed in a cold frame in September or early in October or in early Spring before growth commences.
