The Melianthus is a shrub especially effective in large grounds where fine subtropical effects are desired, as its graceful habit and large glaucous leaves make it very desirable for this purpose.
This shrub is propagated by cuttings which should be placed in a cold frame, during September or October, in soil composed of sand and leaf-mold in equal proportions.
