We have already seen that, around and in the midst of haemorrhagic foci and cerebral softenings, there are inflammatory manifestations, evidenced by the presence of leucocytes containing fat granules. The inflammatory process does not go on to suppuration, but results in the formation of connective ie, constituting a cyst or a cicatrix.
