Mucous Cancer includes tumours in which the stroma of the cancer assumes the characters of mucous tissue. The cells of the cancer may undergo a similar degeneration. The tumour as a whole is very gelatinous in appearance, and resembles the colloid cancer. These tumours are of rare occurrence, being met with in similar situations to colloid cancer, but attaining the highest development in the ovary.
