A volatile oil distilled from pimenta.
Characters. - Colourless or slightly reddish when recent, but becoming brown by age, having the odour and taste of pimenta.
Composition. - Nearly the same as oil of cloves. Use. - Same as cloves. The oil may be given in a dose of 2 or 3 drops on a piece of sugar in flatulence.
