A modification of the phonograph, which uses, instead of tin-foil, a mixture of wax and paraffine spread upon paper. For commercial purposes this instrument may take the place of the stenographer, correspondence being dictated into it and reproduced by the copyist. For entertainment it will yield a great variety of speech, song, and music.
